COMMERCIAL CAFE RENOVATION

Colour and art adds life to an indigenous social enterprise.

This fun and vibrant social enterprise based in Bright employs and trains Indigenous youth in hospitality, retail and tourism. We were engaged to provide an exterior materials specification and art direction for the cafe’s outdoor balcony zone, including a colourful wall mural as well as space planning, furniture curation and upholstery of preloved items with Indigenous prints. This showcased a warm vibrant colour palette inspired by the grass dilly bags made by locals from the staff’s own communities in the Northern Territory.
