Britt White Studio is an award winning interior design practice based in Bright, in the heart of Victoria’s High Country, with a growing project base in Sydney and work across other parts of Australia.
We create warm, layered interiors with personality, shaped by the architecture, landscape and people they belong to. From full home renovations and new kitchens and bathrooms to holiday homes, commercial spaces and furniture curation, we consider each project as a complete experience rather than a collection of separate decisions.
Whether we’re shaping an entire home or bringing its final layers together, we balance creative thinking with technical knowledge, detailed planning and a clear understanding of how the space needs to function.
We believe the best interiors feel personal rather than prescribed. By getting to know how our clients live, work and want to feel in a space, we create environments that are considered, practical and unmistakably their own.
MEET BRITT
Hello, I’m Britt, Founder and Creative Director of Britt White Studio.
I grew up in Sydney, on the North Shore then Northern Beaches, and I now live and work in Bright, Victoria. Both places have shaped the way I see design. I’m endlessly inspired by the natural beauty of the coast and the High Country, and by the relationship between a building, its history and the landscape around it.
I’ve always loved interiors that feel warm, layered and full of life. Colour, light, texture and shape are central to my work, and I get genuinely excited by the way they can transform how a space feels. Every decision also needs to make sense. A beautiful interior should function well, feel comfortable and support the way you live or work every day.
My style is relaxed and relatable, with a strong appreciation for mid-century design, artisan craftsmanship and interiors with a sense of history. I love balancing old and new, refined and unexpected, while respecting the architecture and character already present. I also take the wider environmental impact of our choices seriously, looking for thoughtful solutions that will endure.
Over the years, I’ve worked on home renovations and extensions, commercial fit outs and furnishing projects across Australia.. I’m a national design award winner, but the most exciting part is still seeing an idea come to life as a space that feels completely right for the people who use it.
Design can involve a lot of decisions, so I bring detailed planning, technical knowledge and plenty of energy to every project. My role is to listen closely, make sense of the moving parts and turn your aspirations into something functional, personal and uniquely yours.
There’s nothing I enjoy more than helping people discover what their space can become.

Britt Howard
Founder & Creative Director
Britt is an award winning interior designer and furniture specialist with a Diploma of Interior Design and an impressive portfolio of completed projects, many featured in some of Australia’s most respected publications.
She creates richly layered interiors that are warm and inviting, blending detail and beauty with impeccable function. Her work draws on colour, light, texture and form to captivate and delight, turning aspirations into reality with a meticulous eye.
Britt brings fun, infectious energy to every project, along with a natural ability to make people feel instantly at ease. When she’s not working, you’ll find her riding her mountain bike or discovering design inspiration in the everyday.

Matt White
Operations Director
Matt is the engine behind Britt White Studio, managing the day to day operations that keep projects, people and the wider studio moving.
A Landscape Architect by training, he’s our go to for systems, processes and clever innovations that make the client experience smoother. He brings calm thinking, practical problem solving and a genuine desire to make a positive impact to everything he does.
When he’s off duty, you’ll usually find him on two wheels, whether road, gravel or mountain bike (he’s not picky!), or chasing fresh tracks on the slopes. As a former Mt Hotham Race Club Director and current Team Hotham committee member, you might still spot him from the Heavenly Valley chairlift in winter.

Ella Jeffs
Junior Designer
A firecracker with a quick wit and infectious humour, Ella brings a bubbly energy to the Britt White Studio team. With a love for art, travel and snowboarding, she blends creativity with a keen eye for style.
After studying Fine Arts (she’s an artist of note herself), Ella joined Britt White Studio as the first step in her interior design career. She’s currently studying Interior Design part time having already made her mark at Britt White Studio, playing an integral role in every project she’s touched.
When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her chasing her Bernese mountain dog, Bobbi, discovering local culinary gems, or carving up fresh powder at Hotham or Falls Creek.

Hudson & Aksel
Dogsbody Department & Emotional Support Leaders
Huddo and Aksel are the Studio’s resident Vizslas and enthusiastic contributors to studio life.
As the older and wiser of the pair, Huddo brings calm, well timed naps and the occasional project photoshoot cameo. Aksel is younger, flamboyant and rarely lets a quiet moment go to waste, greeting visitors with theatrical enthusiasm and a belief that every meeting should include him…and treats!
Together, they provide wagging tail welcomes, installation day support and a reminder not to take studio life too seriously. They definitely don’t answer emails or help meet deadlines, but they bring plenty of heart, personality and joyful disruption to our working day.

Good design begins with listening. We take the time to understand your priorities, then turn them into a clear creative direction and practical plan.
Our team combines creative thinking, technical knowledge and careful coordination through every stage of delivery. We work closely with you and the wider project team, keeping communication open and the many moving parts manageable.
Bright and Victoria’s High Country are home, and their landscape, architecture and communities continue to shape our work. We also work regularly from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, supporting projects across Sydney and other parts of Australia while collaborating with clients, architects, builders and trusted suppliers.
Every project is approached on its own terms, with the people and place at the centre of each decision, and clarity, purpose and everyday use in mind.
