OUR COMMUNITY
Bright and Victoria’s High Country are home to Britt White Studio. It’s where our studio is based, where much of our work happens and where we’ve built longstanding relationships with clients, businesses, community organisations and people across the region.
We believe being part of a regional community comes with an opportunity to contribute to it. Over the years, that has meant giving our time, experience and support to local arts, sport, creative initiatives and organisations that help make this part of Victoria such a good place to live and work.
Our involvement takes different forms, from committee and board roles to sponsorships, community projects and practical initiatives through the studio. They’re all part of the same idea: contributing where we can to the community that has supported Britt White Studio from the beginning.
Our connection to the High Country extends well beyond the studio. Over the years, Britt and Matt have contributed their time and experience to local organisations spanning the arts, sport, community development and regional creativity.
That involvement has included five years of board service with Community Bank Bright, committee roles with Team Hotham and the Tour of Bright, junior mountain bike coaching and, more recently, Britt’s role as a founding committee member of Alpine Regional Creatives.
Britt White Studio also supports local organisations through sponsorship and practical initiatives. Alongside Team Hotham, Bright Art Gallery and Wild Houses, we regularly donate suitable furniture, appliances and household items from our projects to the Murray Valley Sanctuary Refugee Group, helping give pieces with plenty of life left in them a useful next home.
PART OF THE PLACE
ALPINE REGIONAL CREATIVES
Britt is a founding Committee member of Alpine Regional Creatives (ARC), a new not-for-profit bringing together artists, designers and creative practitioners across the region. It’s a natural fit for a studio that believes a strong creative community makes the High Country a better place to live and work.
TEAM HOTHAM
Snowsport has been part of Matt’s life in the High Country for decades. He’s now on the Committee of Team Hotham, while Britt White Studio is a club sponsor, helping its athletes and programs continue to grow. Team Hotham is a not-for-profit winter sports club based at Mount Hotham.
BRIGHT ART GALLERY
Britt White Studio is a proud sponsor of Bright Art Gallery & Cultural Centre, supporting local artists and creative life in the region. We’re particularly proud to put our name to the Youth Art Prize, helping encourage the next generation of local creative talent.
TOUR OF BRIGHT
Matt has served on the organising committee of the Tour of Bright, one of the region’s major cycling events, operated by Alpine Cycling Club. It’s another expression of a long connection to cycling and the outdoor culture that forms such a big part of life in the High Country.
COMMUNITY BANK BRIGHT
For five years, Britt served on the board of Community Bank Bright, contributing her time to an organisation that reinvests in local groups, projects and initiatives across the community. Although her board term has now finished, it remains an important part of Britt White Studio’s connection to the region.
WILD HOUSES
For every project we complete, Britt White Studio pledges a Wild House, helping provide purpose-built shelter for native wildlife. It’s a simple way for the studio to give something back to the environments our work depends on, while supporting habitat restoration in a practical, ongoing way.
“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

DESIGN IN THE COMMUNITY
Some of our strongest local connections have also grown through design. Over the years, Britt White Studio has worked on community, education and social-enterprise spaces across the region, using design to support the people and organisations behind them.
